Welcome to the fundraising blog site for Spencer Cricket Club. In January 2018 we obtained planning permission for a new indoor cricket school, to replace the current one lane building presently on site at Spencer. We need to raise £750,000. This site was first published on 6th February 2019 and will be regularly updated throughout the year.

LIMITED EDITION CLUB TIE

To support the Indoor School Fundraising appeal, we are selling a limited edition range of special silk Club ties.
The tie is presented in the original 1872 Spencer club colours and featured as part of the tie loop on the reverse is the original Spencer Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club crest.
We are selling just 100 of these at £35.00 each. Manufacture & sale costs are £12.50 per item meaning that the sale of each tie returns £22.50 profit. Shortly we will also make available some women’s scarves in the same colours. Purchase is via the button below and through our AJ Sports online shop. They are making no charge for this transaction.
The £2,000+ profit will be used to underwrite other fundraising, specifically the design & print of a brochure that will feature all aspects of the school, other Spencer activities and fundraising plans. This brochure will be sent to all club members during April 2019
During 2019 we hope to raise £150,000 which will enable us to proceed with the building of the school during 2020. By purchasing this tie you are helping with the seed capital to obtain this total and ringfencing fundraising activity away from normal club funds.
